Sugar Beets
A sugar beet is a genetically modified by its direct  modification of its genome. They use biotechnology. Many big companies use sugar beets in their products like Hershey. Sugar beets are white not red. Sugar beets and sugar cane are basically the same its just that sugar beets are GMO.

Potato
Genetically modified potato was approved back in 2014. This GMO potato is designed to resist black spots and also contains less amino acid asparagine that turns into acrylamide when it fries. This potato is called innate potato. Its uses RNA interference to switch off genes.

Mosquitoes
Genetically modified mosquitoes is on the males and modified so they don't reach adulthood. That means the mosquitoes have a less chance of carrying the Zika virus. Researchers are also looking for a genetic modification to curb the spread of malaria disease.Image result for gmo mosquitoes
